Just another one of those things you'll remember and laugh about somewhere down the line. It's the total package, isn't it.

Re: Random Guy Poll

Most of the time when I called a parts house they didn't know what it was and I had to explain. I always got a reaction wherever I went though and most people were interested in knowing about it, especially the teenagers and young adult types. I recently sold mine to JDFLIGHT and I'm glad to see he'...

Re: Interior upholstery panels

I bought the entire interior for my 61 Monza. the door panels were nice but the chrome strips look a little cheesy. I bought them without strips because of the high price of adding them. I used Stainless steel screws with washer heads to attach them to the door and it looks great. Not original but I...

Re: New member, New to Corvairs

Welcome John. That doesn't look so bad, I think you can do it. Be sure to check for rust under those covers under the doors, they're notorious for that. Lots of help available here. You might also consider finding a Corvair club for local support.

Re: Today I drove my Corvair to...

We drove to Burnet, Texas the weekend of April 17th for the annual Heart Of Texas Corvair reunion. Bad weather was all around us and "gully washers" at night but the rain held off during the show and during our drive out there. Bad rain on the way home with hail but the weekend was great with nice cars and good people.

Re: rear wheel bearing set up

Great info guys. I've been thinking about that myself because when I had mine apart I disassembled, cleaned, and repacked the bearings on my 61 and have been thinking about whether that was good enough.

Re: OT---One party is proposing a 20% cut in Social Security

Does any of this NOT sound like what is happening to the United States? Scairy stuff going on here. On S.S. I hope to get it one day (i'm 56 now) but I'm not counting on it already. As for my kids getting it, no stinking way. I keep paying it but that's one of our "lots in life". I believe...
