After reading all the advice it appears to me that his trouble lies within that yh. Although Ray rebuilt it, doesn't mean the float was not damaged in shipment! You said you have almost memorized Helt's yh book. Take the bowl cover off and make sure the float has not developed a hole and thus taking...

The way I read it... $199 was only for shipping! The cost of the kit was over $500. Looks like there would be much more cost with buying the rest of the parts to complete this conversion. Looks pretty cool though!

I have finally finished the engine compartment and the PCV issue! I could not in good conscience put a little filter on the pcv tube...
I have also cleaned up the look in the engine compartment by removing the fresh air hose.
