After a few years off the road. Finally back on and going better than ever. Thanks for your help.

Sounds like issues I just had with mine.
Check/renew the rubber hoses on balance pipe.
Check carbs set up the Same on the bench. Special attention to floats and needle seats.

Have I got this bronze filter in correct way?
Flater side to filter nut?
I also made some new carb insulators and gaskets although a bit thicker (all I had). Would this cause any issues?

Don’t bother with Rock auto fuel pumps!
Been sent two now with the machining details missing for the locking/location bolt!

Engine was cold. Carbs are off and all plugs out.
I did test the low cylinders more than once.
Yes I’m thinking it’s more a fuel/carb problem.
Nice to know the engine isn’t too bad though.

Hi. Yes. I have to date only used a well known parts supplier and cannot fault their service. Not easy getting parts shipped out to uk, the parts are not expensive it’s all the other charges that kill it. Just found this rock auto, and shipping was reasonable. Maybe I should stick with what I know. 🤔

Hi. Yes you’re right. There seems to be no lever to activate the vent valve. I suspect the lower half of this carb is from a 65. It also has the power enrichment valve. My car is a 62.
