Junkyard Primer Phone App - NEED HELP!

Hey guys, I'm wondering if you might be able to help me out. I'm looking at doing an app for phones that will be a combination of "Stock Is" and the "Junkyard Primer". I want to take advantage of the visual nature of smartphones to make a quick reference guide for determining wha...

Re: Help - New Owner

Small correction. The speedo cable on the '63 is a loooooong SOB. It's sticking out of the driver side of the differential. Disconnect it at both ends and spin the cable while someone watches the other end to see if it spins as well. Sometimes during this test it will still spin despite the fact its...

Re: Canadian in Tucson

Nope, no driving over cliffs. I got lucky. The Tucson chapter happened to be having their meeting on Wed night, so I dropped in. A member, Ken, was generous enough to volunteer to take the girls for a drive, and I got to drive Jim's Rampside. It worked out beautifully, the girls got a drive through ...

Re: Canadian in Tucson

Do you know anyone in Tucson I might be able to contact? I sent a message to the Tucson CORSA chapter, but who knows how often that account is checked.

Canadian in Tucson

Hi! This is Joel Rushworth from Western Canada CORSA. I started the chapter, and have organized “Corvairitis Treatment Day” and last year, The Northwest Econorun. I own a ’61 Rampside, ’66 Corsa and ’68 Ultravan. I have a long shot request, but I thought I couldn’t hurt to ask. I’m currently in Tucs...

Re: WILL THESE WORK

I think they'll work. The '60 wheels have some extra nubs on them, and I'm not sure if they'll interfere with the install of those, or not. Have you seen a picture of a '60 coupe with wide whitewalls, body colour steelies, the bowtie beauty rings ('60 only) and the dog dish hub caps? Google around, ...

You guys know an over cab luggage rack was available for the FC's, eh? And because it looks like it was shared across the GM line, maybe someone is doing repops for another marquee....

Re: Rampside Color Schemes - suggestions

Go checkout your local Harley dealership, about the only place left doing 2 tones, and lots of nice modern combos.

My RS is going to be Harley '04 Luxury Teal w/ antique white stripe and red accents.

Re: Anyone out there with 17" wheels on an FC?

What size tires do you have on those wheels? I'm running 17x7 w/ 4"BS and the 2" drop spindles on my RS. Tires are 215/55's and I do have rubbing issues. Some Shockwave 9000 airbags on next on the menu which should solve that problem. But if you're just going to stick with springs I'd do a...

Re: Ball joint for FC/ what reamer to use?

Truck rides awesome! My suspension geometry is basically stock. Yes, stock springs. I'm going to be taking it off the road soon, and put Shockwave 9000's for the tri-5 up front, that way I can really slam it for lo-slow cruisin' and raise it back up when things get bumpy. The M/C is a late '60's dua...

Re: Ball joint for FC/ what reamer to use?

Hey guys. I was the one that pioneered the Tri-5 Drop Spindle set up. Unfortuneately I don't know the specs on the FC lower ball joint, as I was re-doing the entire front end and had a loose example to take to the machine shop as a reference. Here's a shot of the jig for reaming out the lower ball j...

Haven't been on the boards for the last month, I've been too tied up with moving into our new place. However, I had to give a shout out to Kevin/Unsafe, with a big :ty: The first "official" piece of mail I opened in our new place was from Kevin, and it couldn't have been more appropriate, ...

Yeah, but don't you think there is a difference between off to your right, down the middle of the car, and smack dab in front of the wheel?
