Re: So what's the deal?
The others here all nailed it . LA , well Van Nuys really , has been more desirable from my observations because of rust as one stated but also there were fewer of them I believe. I just passed on a nice LA 4 door not far from me although it had been completely changed color wise. It's still listed ...

Corvair powered kit car
I couldn't find anything on this car online. I recently came back from Talihina, OK . It's the mountainous area in SE Oklahoma. This car is up at a friend of mine's who lives on top of Buffalo Mountain. Neat looking car but it's going to waste unfortunately. It's got a 140 with the 4 barrel set up ...

Re: Smokin' Deals!
Let's wake this thread up. I've been on searchtempest today looking around . I think this car is a good buy . The other link is for what looks like a 60 engine. They don't come around too often. Hope someone can benefit from these Corsa https://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/6179651221.html engine ...

Thanks, That's kind of strange that this paint code is not listed . I also noticed from the other thread on a 60 that the tag is somewhat different . http://www.corvairforum.com/forum/download/file.php?id=37558&t=1 http://i742.photobucket.com/albums/xx65/LS1Cheyenne/Mobile%20Uploads/image ...

Re: jerking at 30-50 mph
There are a lot of great suggestions here that I'm almost afraid to chime in but here goes . It seems you never answered Brad's questions about whether or not both chokes are opening fully . Did I overlook your answer ? I also was thinking what 1949chevy said about the throttle linkage. I bought the ...

Yes, he has too many considering his budget and time restraints ! So I've been looking over one of Brad's older posts on another guy with a 60 coupe and one of the links shows all of the colors for 60 supposedly . http://www.corvairforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=11754&p=81011&hilit=1960+tag ...

Re: My friend's 60 coupe
There is also a rampside on the other side of the Ultravan. He also has a 63 convertible and a 66 coupe which is running but kind of rusty. The grey coupe you see was a turbo but was in some water years back so it's a parts car now .

My friend's 60 coupe
This car was recently given to my friend Ray here in the local club by one of the retiring members . I asked him why Tony gave him the car and he said it was because another member left it in his shop for the last 25 years and never came back for it. I decided to let you all see a few pics of the ...

Re: 65 convertible top motor
Bill , my 65 had the same issue. The ground wire was not making a good ground . I wire wheeled it and used a larger self tapping screw and that took care of it . It still works pretty slow but it does work consistently.

http://soapequipment.com/pumps/1ozPlasticDispensingPump.png These things always come in handy so instead of throwing them into the recycle bin I always keep one or two around . I used one with a small hose attached to pump the fluid out of my supercharger on the GS and it comes in handy to suck old ...

Re: Electric cooling fan
Thanks for those replies . I tried a number of searches and for some reason got nothing hence my post . He did answer my emails and told me it's 1/5 hp 3200 rpm italian made electric motor . I read over the posts on the link AZDave sent and someone mentioned that probably a 1 hp motor minimum would ...
