On page 157 of the catalog http://www.corvair.com/user-cgi/catalog.cgi?show_page=157 item number 7 the substitute steering link P/N: C2372. My van has this shorter tie rod end with extension and not the stock 15" one. My question is does any one have a part number for just the tie rod end? I ca...

Re: Greenbrier gas tank and fuel line help needed
:fc front: Ok I have a new issue after replacing the tank. The van starts and runs great now that tank is correct. Now the gas gauge shows just under half tank when off and a quarter when on. I measured the sending unit when it was out of the tank and as I moved the float I got between 0 and 30 ohms...

Stabilizer bar bushing question Greeenbrier
Does anyone know if the stabilizer bar bushing from the cars are the same as the Vans?
The clarks part number is C111K. They look correct but I want to know before I buy them.
Thank you

Re: Greenbrier gas tank and fuel line help needed
Thank you Brad. I think that the fuel line replacement that you referenced is for the steel lines. The rubber hose goes to the top of the tank and connects to the sending unit. So don't see any way to replace than to drop tank. I hate to try and find the sending unit through the floor by cutting it ...

Greenbrier gas tank and fuel line help needed
My Brier was running great until one day last week she wouldn't start. Used starting fluid and it starts right up. Then I took the fuel line off of the carb and no gas while cranking it. So then I replaced the fuel pump thinking that was it. Still no fuel. Got under and found the fuel filter and use...

Insurance for a daily driver
I am looking to get insurance for my 64 greenbrier and most of the insurance companies that I looked into online only have classic car insurance that is for limited use. I want to have a daily driver except maybe in the bad weather in winter. Does any one have any insurance company suggestions? Than...

Greenbrier sheet metal replacement
Am I correct that there is nowhere to buy replacement body panels for a 64 Greenbrier?
I have searched the net with no luck.
I need new lower panels almost all around. It would save me a ton of time if I could buy vs making.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brian

Re: Hard cold starting issue
You know what I feel like a dumba$$. I have a switch in the back and a push button that someone installed that allow me to start the van from the back. I forgot that a carburetor engine needs the carbs "primed" by pumping the gas. And since I was in the back troubleshooting I nev...

Hard cold starting issue
I just replaced my Ignitor I module with an Ignitor II because I left the ignition on and it burnt up the module. I was able to get the engine running with a lot of starting fluid and more once it started. It finally warmed up enough to idle. I adjust the chokes per the tune up procedure and they ar...

Re: Do these looking original?
I actually bought new points for this, only to find out that it has an electronic ignition system. I was planning on putting one in anyway so this saves me $200. The problem is that I am getting no spark from the coil. It is a Pentronix Flamethrower II. How do I test it? I get the 0.6 ohms between t...

Do these looking original?
I am wondering if this distributor and ignitor look original to a 140 hp engine?
If the distributor is not original will I run into any issues with buying points without knowing the manufacturer?
Thank you for any help.

Re: Corsa engine identification and other questions
I found that my engine has the code T0524RN. Which from the manual you attached it is from a 65-67 500 or Monza with an automatic transmission.
I actually have a manual, so my next mission will be to find out what year that is and what car it is out of.
Thanks for your manual links.
