Re: 1st time Corvair owner

That is one very nice looking corvair! I'm not as much an expert on what is correct as are most of the folks on this site but from what i can see that engine does look original to the car. Good Luck with it!!

Re: 1962 Monza 4 door wanted

Dave: Thanks for sending that posting for those two '62 700 sedans. they definitely could make a very nice car. The 62 700 did have a nice look to it especially with that belt line trim that stopped halfway down the front door. The color is nice too. I'm going to stick to what i'm looking for though...

Brad and Chris: Thank you both very much. Brad I know we've chatted before and i really appreciate your interest. Chris thanks for telling me about the '61 but i decided i'm going to hold out for the one I'm looking for. That one on EBAY is in allentown PA not far from me and the exterior doesn't lo...

1962 Monza 4 door wanted

Hello Everyone. I'm going to update a message that I put on here about 4 years ago since I want to get the word out again about a car I am looking for. I've been a Corvair fan since age 11 when my family bought a new 62 Monza sedan. It was Tuxedo Black with a red bucket seat interior. It was 84hp wi...

Re: LM vs. EM Debate.

I'll reiterate my post from four years ago. Growing up in the sixties my family had three corvairs, two 62s a Monza Sedan and a Coupe and a 63 Coupe. I owned a '68 140hp 4 speed convertible about 10 years ago. The late models are beautiful no doubt but i think the early models had better build quali...

Re: New to the site. I'm glad I found it.

Wow guys i just looked at my post from 4 years ago! I would ask any of the forum members to still keep a look out for a 62 Monza Sedan in Tuxedo Black with a red bucket seat interior. The search is being restarted! Thanks!

Re: LM vs. EM Debate.

Brad: Your posts are always outstanding. My opinion on the earlies has to do with sentiment and actually after owning the 68 Convertible I do feel that the earlies were a bit more substantial in terms of build quality. I will say thought that the late models are stunning in the looks department. My ...

Re: Back seat size? Ok for Children? Adults?

The back seat in the coupe would be good for small children only. Way back when my family bought a new 62. I was 11 at the time and it was determined that the coupe that they wanted had too small of a back seat for me. They bought a sedan.

Re: '63 900 Stock as far as I know

Thats a very nice car! I don't see anything incorrect at all. Its interesting that it doesn't have a radio. I'm on the hunt now for a 62 Monza Sedan. I'm looking for the reverse of yours. Black exterior and red interior. Good luck with the car!

Re: my introduction to Corvairs

Hey Brad, its Tom G. I actually wrote both posts. Thanks so much for your advice and your insight. Actually yes, dealers did deliver new cars to the house. At least Bennett Ford in Bayonne, NJ did for us back in 1955. It was a totally different time. Also the Christmas tree story that happened in Ba...
