Re: A guide to body tag decoding resources on the web

If you want to look at paint chips, Gary Aube’s site is an excellent resource: 1960 http://www.corvaircorsa.com/pntcpc60.html 1961 http://www.corvaircorsa.com/pntcpc61.html 1962 http://www.corvaircorsa.com/pntcpc62.html 1963 http://www.corvaircorsa.com/pntcpc63.html 1964 http://www.corvaircorsa.com/...

A guide to body tag decoding resources on the web

With extremely few exceptions, your Corvair should have a body tag located in the engine compartment on the rear frame rail on the right side, just behind the distributor. This tag has information that was required for assembly of the body and also provides useful information about the options, feat...

Probably the best way to post pictures is to upload them elsewhere to any number of image hosting sites and then link the image, which you can do in the full editor just by clicking the IMG button and pasting in the URL of your image, like this: http://cache.jalopnik.com/assets/images/12/2010/08/bzr...

Re: Refurbish Steering Wheel and dash

I think it's plastic around a metal ring. It can be painted using conventional paints. You can repair cracks with a variety of epoxy products. Here's a thread that might prove helpful:

Re: 63 Monza Spyder Restoration

I went through that recently. Not a bad time to upgrade to a dual master cylinder if you haven't already. How much can you expect out of 50 year old brake lines?

Re: Found this Monza convertible

This would be a good candidate to part out. It's an A/C car and there are a lot of parts there that have value. Depending upon condition they might be worth $300-500. Don't know if the car is equipped with a power top but that would also be something that could be sold. It has a telescoping steering...

Re: Upgraded: Corsa Coupe 2.0

Part 1: Actual Physical Work Commences. October 9, 2012 I have mostly spent the last few weeks spending money. There are lots of parts that are needed for this project and the first step is to acquire them. I ordered stereo equipment, air conditioning parts, seat cushions, speaker grills, a thermist...

Re: Just bought a 65 110 Monza

Hello. Just a bought a 65 Monza for $400 in Phoenix. As you can assume, it needs work. I took out all the interior and it is ready for sand blasting. I need help or opinions on what to do about the dash. I took off the windshield and the metal dash and metal strip below the windshield are completel...

Re: Wanted: photos of Corvairs in certain colors

Jon, thanks. I actually received another picture of this car that I put on the site, from a different angle.

I now have all '65 colors on line, which is the first year completed. 1968 is the one that needs the most attention, with only one picture.

Re: Wanted: photos of Corvairs in certain colors

I received at least two pictures in response to this request, but found out that my web page directed people to an email account that I no longer use. Oops! Doh! If you submitted pictures previously to September, Comcast would have deleted them. If you don't mind to send them again I would appreciat...

This looks to be a Crown conversion that was featured in the February 2012 issue of Hot Rod.
