Love that car. Awesome Caddy. I obviously love my Corvairs, but I can understand why you've been distracted.

Re: The Spousal Avoidance Unit build

I realize it's not on topic but I don't think there's any rule against hijacking your own thread...for those of us who are full sized GM lovers, please post a pic or two of the Caddy. 1964 is the best year EVER for the Coupe DeVille. Period. I want to see it.

Re: my 65 Turbo

Bobby, you're welcome, and very nice to meet you. I'm very impressed with the work you're doing on your car. Keep it up! I think it's awesome that you're giving the car a new life and gaining a bunch of skills in the process.

Re: Career Project...

I'm not sure how to feel about you selling your car. I, for one, have been blown away by your craftsmanship and talent required to undertake a project of this caliber. This is one of the most extreme projects I have seen being attempted by a guy who doesn't do this kind of thing for a living. This ...

Re: Corvair and the American way

Interesting that all of the cars that he claims epitomize the "American system" were of GM origin. Nice to see recognition of the Corvair as the innovative, daring car that it is. And what a sweet bike! About the only thing my wife insists on from a vehicle standpoint is that she doesn't w...

Re: New to the site...

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting the pictures! This looks like an excellent start. You were smart to find a car that was straight and rust-free to begin with (probably easier to do in New Mexico than here in Michigan :) ) From the sounds of it, you have some prior experience with old cars...

Re: Career Project...

Ted, thanks for making us a part of the story so far. I hope we will get to see the ending. I'm sure this was a tough day for you. I think you did very well by the car and I hope your work provides the foundation for something very special.

Re: Upgraded: Corsa Coupe 2.0

Part 3: Carpentry for the Car. October 13, 2012 It's a cold, rainy day in mid-Michigan. There's still some color left on the trees, but wind and rain have brought down most of the leaves. Over in East Lansing, it's Homecoming weekend, and rather than joining the miserable, wet crowd in Spartan Stadi...
