What a fun looking car you picked up Dave. A great looking daily driver.

Have fun with it.

Re: Random sneak peak

Nice unvailing at the show Tony. I hope Danny is now hooked and commited to the Corvair nation. lol.

His car was just as sweet as I thought it might be. Both you guys looked tired. HA. Staying up until 2:00 to get the cars ready. They both looked good.

Re: Capital City Spring Fling @ Sacramento, CA

That dark blue Rampy was insanely clean. There was a light green double door? GB with the coolest drawer set up in it. Really clean. Wow, some good stuff.

Yeah Tony, put some tins on will ya? lol. Glad you made it home and hope the motor is still okay. I'm sure it is.

Re: Capital City Spring Fling @ Sacramento, CA

Yeah, I'd better start doing some things on my car by the show. I have new SoftSeal door seals that need to go on and they don't seem to want to do it by themselves at night. lol. Also needs another bath and maybe a polish or two before the BIG EVENT. ggggg

Looking good there Tony. Danny should be proud of that thing. It's magazine material.

Good start Ira .... I'm already liking it.

Keep it up.

Greg - it's a good motor that may only need a few things. Not sure what the PO did (or didn't do) the motor was supposed to be stored in doors with the carbs off. ????? Who knows. :dontknow:

Tony - you guys are killing me over here. LOTS of work happening at your place this month. Will your car be painted before the show? Or down the road? :dontknow: I've been lazy over here - only 45 today so it's fricken cold for me. lol. Going to finish hooking up the new printer for my computer then...

Re: Urethane suspension bushings?

I actually ended up with poly tranny X-member mount bushings - stock rubber tranny mounts - nylon bushings on both ends of my lower control arms (though I wanted rubber on the diff side & nylon on the wheel side) - and stock rubber trailing arm bushings (though I wanted poly). No creaking noises...

K - thanks. I'm just going with a marine am-fm-cass I have laying around. I'm almost done with a small consolette and I'll just use that for now.

Yeah, I have them too on my LM and went 1/2 stiff & 1/2 rubber. The car rides real nice - even lowered.

Re: got my wheels and tires mounted!

Nice wheels & tires ... and the stance looks good too. Now to figure out how much of the coils to cut. 1 coil?

But either way it sure looks good.

Re: meet the "rat-mobile"

Sweet! What a nice find. And a nice surprise when you opened the hood and looked under the car. The interior ... well you're right ... that one wins all of the cars I've ever seen and I've been to a lot of junk yards too over the years. Congrats.
