Maybe a bookmark, maybe a paper clip (to hold past invoices).

Re: One more Corvair Gone.

Thanks for posting. I have 12 & 13 year-old daughters still at home. The 12 year-old has already told me that our '65 four-door DD is going to be 'her' car when she's old enough to drive... I am sure my bondo-bucket would not have fared as well as your convertible did. Best wishes for a full and spe...

Re: Now that's funny (sort of).

I was unpleasantly surprised, too. Makes you think about all the time that is spent online participating in learning and discussions. Now I guess I'll have to go out in the current snowstorm and work on my wife's car so she can drive it again... (I was hoping to postpone it for a while, but now I ha...

Re: Two Tone Sedan on the way

Connie, I don't believe I've ever seen a Corvair interior that is silver-gray. That is nice! :tu:

Which engine is in it now? The 95hp would be very desirable IMO.
Unless there is a 140 PG in it now, I think you'll need to change the transmission to the correct 140 parts.

These pictures are from a 2000 Chevy Malibu.
I am not sure how this spoiler would work on a Corvair.

Re: Rear Spoiler w/LED Brakelight Ideas?

A center-mount third brake light can be installed by running a separate wire from the brake light switch (at the brake pedal) to the new center light (and providing a ground).

What style is entirely up to you.

Re: Corvaircenter site down?

Apparently CCF is back up and running.
I had a good chance to become better acquainted here. :tu:
I even had time to read some of the VV entries! :zzzz:

Re: Corvaircenter site down?

Just to add to the original topic, CCF was down early yesterday (like about 2AM EST). I kept checking occasionally, and just about noon EST, I was able to get onto the forum and actually post a response to a topic. I was even able to edit that response! Then just as quickly, it went offline again......

Re: Stolen Corvairs in L.A. Calif. - suspect arrested

I can't believe they released him on bail.
I guess we tend to value our Corvairs more highly than law enforcement...
I wonder if the other stolen SoCal Corvairs from a few years ago were part of his butchery?
I seem to remember a yellow '64?

Looking good!
You've got a rare one. Which area did you get it from and where are you located?
Looks like it's been parked for a while, but seems to be complete. Where will you start?

Re: I hate colds.....

Colds? :helpsos: How about a cold house? We have free gas from a well on our property, but after 35 years of production, it tends to fail at inopportune times... like in the midst of the cold wave we are in now. It hasn't been above 20°F for about a week and is frequently in the single digits overni...

Re: front brake lines

Thanks for posting the pic (by azdave) of the vise-grips. Although I have several pair, I never saw the actual application.
PS: For future browsers: Don't buy your flare nut wrenches from HF. They immediately stretch upon actual use trying to loosen a tight fitting.

Re: Corvair Lakewood - NL - Europe

Interesting journal-ing, Ralf. Good story and good pics. In the US, that Rambler is usually found under American Motors instead of Renault. There are a couple good sources for parts for AMC's here. Let me know if you need the links.
Keep after that Lakewood. I wish I had one!
