Re: 2017 Great Western FanBelt Toss & Swap Meet
Aa Toss 2017.jpg Again a great year at the Toss. Every space was sold and IECC had to squeeze in a few more. Literally trailers of bins of parts arrived! The music was good. The food at the park and banquet was excellent! :tu: Even getting locked into the porta- pot didn't dampen my enjoyment of th...

Floor mat.jpg Floor Mat2.jpg I just installed one of Steve's Re-Pop FC front floor mats in the Rampside. Check these out in the "Parts For Sale" section here. The detail and quality are excellent. :not worthy: I had the Clarks Gray carpet installed for a year now. It fit and worked just f...

Re: South Coast Corsa Cruise-In 2017: Ageless to Anarchy
Was a great event again this year!
The location at the transportation museum was super. Lots of easy parking for cars displayed.
I will definitely participate again next year.
Great job South Coast Corsa!

Re:2016 Fanbelt Toss Swap Meet in Palm Springs
What a great year. Vintage Corsa did a great job with scheduling and setting up this event. I have not seen such a busy Friday afternoon in many years! Saturday was banner. They sold out all the swap spaces. Repositioned the car show up front. Kick-off and banquet parties were both at the Elks. Good...

2016 Fanbelt Toss Swap Meet in Palm Springs
Have I missed something or has there just been no mentioned here of the 2016 Great Western Fanbelt Toss and Swap meet in Palm Springs this coming weekend? I have my Greenbrier loaded and ready to roll out Friday morning. It's a nice 3 hour drive for me one way. Always look forward to seeing everyone...

Re: My present project
It's been a while since I posted about the Rampside project. Basically I have been detailing the undercarriage and spending a lot of time with yet another home renovation project. Stripping the popcorn ceilings and repainting throughout was a lot easier 20years ago!!! Then my computer got a virus an...

Re: New member from France
Welcome. One unique thing about owning a Corvair, even here in the USA is that the vehicle is unique. We see so many Chevrolets, Fords, Hot-Rods and muscle cars at events and shows here. Driving up in a Corvair always gets attention. Many times more then the high dollar collector cars! Thanks for yo...

Re: Boiling sound coming from underneath carbs
Time to break out the mechanics stethoscope and listen to a pin point for that sound. Hard to tell from the picture, but do you have the insulator spacer and gaskets under each carburetor? What you may be hearing is fuel boiling in the float bowl. Modern fuels vaporize much faster then old leaded ga...

Re: My present project
Ah... a man in his cave! had a nice visit from another Corvair enthusiast, John, from South Carolina. Oh.. the newly rebuilt Rampside FC 110 engine is running sweet! This past Sunday I was able to bring the Greenbrier home from it's month long visit to the Murphy Auto Museum, in Oxnard Calif. Now th...

Re: 160lbs in the Trunk
I always got the best performance and tire wear, Early or Late model's, 28# front and 36-38# rear. These were with stock size radials.
