Re: 2bbl center mount linkage

Although I've not actually seen this in person, I've seen pictues and read where a linkage was fabricated using a bicycle cable to open and close the throttle. Those setups looked pretty trick. I'm guessing any bike shop should be able to fab up a cable/end links.

Re: 2bbl center mount linkage

I would recommend you contact Roger Parent and see if he already has one made for this application. His work and products are first class. It will save you alot of time trying to fab up your own.

Re: How To Hot Rod Corvair Engines Bill Fisher Book

They're both good. I found "Performance Corvairs" provided me with a little more of the details and answers I was looking for.

Re: Oil pan gasket

Ted, I think the pro would be the gasket would be easier to align as well as placement of the pan. The con would be they would just get in the way if the gasket needed to be removed and replaced (scraping old gasket off). Although when I've used studs before (not for a Corvair) I only put them on fi...

Re: Oil pan gasket

Would there be any benefit to replacing the bolts with studs? Other than the obvious one of not over tightening and possibly stripping out a bolt?

Re: How To Hot Rod Corvair Engines

You also might want to consider Seth Emerson's book, "Performance Corvairs". It's available on Amazon Prime. There's alot of good, updated relevant information in this book. I have both and I find myself referring to Seth's book quite often.

Re: How To Hot Rod Corvair Engines

I know it's been beat to death but from what I've read and actually saw in the 60's (I'm 65), the introduction of the Mustang, Camero and muscle cars in general was literally the handwriting on the wall.

Yep. Can't wait for it to come out. Will probably be the biggest "innovation" for Corvairs in quite some time!

As previously stated, don't waste your time or money. Kevin Nash has prototyped a new fan with some pretty amazing results. Looking forward to this hitting the market.

Re: Dual Exhaust Gt Style

The size of that bezel (4x5) sounds about right. I remember when I took it out of the package it seemed huge. I'm currently designing a rear exhaust panel that will use dimple die cut holes, approximately 2.5". I plan on using 3" dimple dies for the exhaust. The pic is just for demonstrati...

Re: Dual Exhaust Gt Style

Dang. That looks awesome! What diameter hole and what did you use for bezels?

Edit: Ok, I see you used 65-66 Mustang bezels. I purchased one a couple of years ago from Drakes(?) It was bigger than the ones you used. I'll have ti dig it out to compare.
