Therewill be a little bit more weight added to the body (windows and some other parts) but I think the stance will stay almost the same.

Finaly after a long time the Lakewood is on her wheels and have seen some daylight! We pushed it outside, enjoy the Lakewood and pushed it back in. This way the engine is at the garage doors. When we start the engine, we open the doors before we set the house in a smoking disco area :rolling: Hello ...

:clap: :clap: :clap: :clap: We made some awesome progres last day. All fluids are in the Corvair. Engine is fine, Powerglide gives us some minor jobs to do, but all came out fine. Full should be full. Do not overfill because it will come out the vent and make a mess. My '64 book says 4.5 pints which sounds about right. Was your differential empty for sure? Here are some pictures of the fuel leak test. on every connection i put blue paper, if any liquid is falling on it, it will turn dark blue. Looking great. That rear engine seal strip is supposed to sandwich between the upper flange of the rear aluminum grille and the body when you install the grille btw. Oh good to know terribleted! That is going to make oil filter changes a lot of work. I did a lot of different things the last 2 weeks, Set up safery swtich for the electric fuel pump. Ordered all the parts overhere in the Netherlands :tu: It will be here next week.
Time to work on the heatersystem, and after that we can fix the pump!

At the local parts store, they could order the Oil Pressure Safety Switches but it was €67,95 = $73,87 (brand unknow, same specs as the Airtex Oil Pressure Safety Switches OS75) Compare to the Oil Pressure Safety Switches on the USA market it was pretty pricy. Why add a secondary electric fuel pump to an already fully functional mechanical fuel pump system?
Because I replaced the mechanical pump for a bypass plate (fake mechanical pump) and installed a electric fuel pump. I only need to put a wire to the pump and it is all set to go :tu:
