Can you use your torque wrench to measure the amount of torque required to turn the engine over? Do this with spark plugs removed.

First was which way to install the pistons on the rods, but I figured it out just through logic, and put them on the opposite of factory direction. That is correct. If using Corvair pistons, the notch in the piston should be facing the rear of the engine. If you were using VW pistons for a big bore...
