I just looked but I do not have a good close up picture, maybe a 61 owner will post a picture for us. It alway struck me as such a strange and unnecessary thing to change. 61s have it on the three engine are covers as well as the panel over the heater and the back of the fold down rear seat. 62 are ...

Re: Lakewood vs Wagon interchangeability
I will add to what Tom said. The biggest thing is the master cylinder setup. 61s have the under dash setup shared with 60s and the 62s have the later style. The rear engine covers are the same sizes but 62 dropped the cool check pattern that 61s have. 61s have different cooling cutouts in the engine...

Re: Sound proof a Lakewood wagon
You can see it in the top picture it runs all the way around the engine cover. It will make a HUGE difference in how much sound gets threw, the same thing goes for the Side covers. The seal material and glue is not bad from Clark's. I will take a picture of one of the side covers for you and post it...

I am glad that you got that van, the guy selling it sounded like a big jerk !!
Your van has been in the Milwaukee club for a long time and I have been on tours with it on a few occasions.
