Re: What is the age range of Corvair Fans? (POLL)

Car Collector Chronicles

Car Collector Chronicles, an eZine with no advertising.

Yes, we still are doing our thing; now in 6th year of publication.
We do, on occasion cover Vairs, as I used to own a '63 Monza convert.

Re: What Vehicle Did You Get Your First Traffic ticket In?

That would be a '55 Chevy Bel Air. In fact, once with that car I managed to get 3 tickets in 3 separate incidents all in the same day!

He might have driven slow and easy in his new purchase..
Since he is a flight for life helicopter pilot, I suspect he may be able to do some "simple" math? :D

MPG/QPM

When we recently sold our 63 Monza convert, the buyer drove it back to his home in Philadelphia, PA from Milwaukee, WI ( a drive of 900 + miles). He reported that he got over 30 mpg with it! That shocked me. As long as we had the car, we had never driven it very far at any one time and had no idea o...

Brake Lights

One of the best mods I made to my Vair was to add a third brake light, integral to the license plate frame, and to change the non-working backup lights to working brake lights. Pics of the mods are found here - http://s499.photobucket.com/albums/rr359/GDYNets/63%20Vair%20Monza/?action=view&curre...
