Re: 2 Parts Cars for FREE
Actually Al, in reading the Georgia law, it doesn't outright ban the use of a plastic windshield. It bans the use of an OPAQUE sheeting, and BROKEN glass. Unless there is more to the law than you posted in your link, It does not mention TRANSPARENT plastic as being prohibited. Funny, I have always h...

Re: Engine Stand, easy question to answer
It seems corvairs need special engine stands. Is this true , and why if so? Short answer: It depends. What are you doing? Many of us use a standard engine stand for SOME work on Corvair engines. Davemotohead was supplying engine stands at one time, I think. (or at least plans for them?) I know he w...

Radiator vent ? ? ?
You mean the cold air inlet?
That has a debris screen, it is the air-grill at the base of the rear window.
Otherwise, I have zero idea what you are talking about.

A professionally rebuilt/reconstructed speaker IS essentially a "Modern Speaker" if it was done correctly.

Re: Rear wheels seem angled inwards
Uh, NO! Listen Damien, your wheels will never tuck any further under than they do when the car is up on jacks. (Like they are right now.) It may FEEL like they have "tucked under", but that is simply because when they are experiencing extreme camber, the rear center of gravity is moved upw...

So what are the part numbers for EM vs LM turbo carbs?
I have a few that came in a parts haul a few years ago, but I have no idea which they are.

All EM ( Swing-Axle ) Vairs do that. It's a common trait in early VW bugs and all other swing-axle vehicles too.

Re: Rust removal project
I used to use acid based converters, but why "Convert" rust, when you can utterly remove every last molecule of it?
