Re: ? About LM Verts
Thanks for all the structural information. Would be neat if such a thing existed though, might save alot of verts.

? About LM Verts
Are there any kits available for stiffening the unibody on a LM. Or has anyone come up with a way they have done it? Got to thinking about it after my last trip under my 65 vert. I have some NE rust under there and trying to clean it up. Was wondering if there is a way to get ahead of the game. Than...

My solution to this issue is simple --- I have AAA and Hagerty extended tow insurance. Sure make a trip in the Corvair less stressful -

I caught a video on you tube where the Auto Anatomy guy Sean used a cheaper replacement Murray PM102 blower motor with success.

Re: Changing fuel guage float
Try checking your ground wire first, that may be the culprit. I believe you should be able to change the float by removing the bung at the bottom of the tank where your fuel line comes out of it, and pulling the unit out. Check your "new" brass float first for pinholes, as this has been an...

Re: Rear Motor Mount
All good advice, the 66 and up mount supersedes the one off 65 mount. Taking the grill off and putting it back on is a pain but doable, don’t remember how accessible the lower nuts are with the grill in place. My preference is to support the engine under the heavy skid plate in the rear, your milea...

Rear Motor Mount
65 Monza with a 95HP and PG. Slowly replacing worn out stuff. Took a good look at the rear MM and it looks to me like it is definitely shot, but I have nothing to compare it to, would appreciate feedback on the pics. Checked Clarks and it seems 65 was a one off year for this mount, but the 66 thru 6...

Re: Fast XR700 E-Ignition Questions
I got the XR700 from Clarks a couple years ago which came with the correct parts. I would suggest calling them first to make sure they have them in stock.

Re: Buyer beware
A couple of years ago I ordered Bowtie mirrors from them, a couple weeks went by and nothing. I called Jeff and he apologized for the mix up and I had them a couple days later. I have also ordered other items and have been very happy with them. I just ordered wipers from them and they appear to be 2...

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge
I appreciate all the responses, pro and con. Back when I was a youngin', I always put gauges in my vehicles at the expense of telltales and yes, part of it was for the eye candy :tu: . But I just got used to having them. Having had a 62 Corvair back then (sans gauges), I know that retaining the tell...
