Re: What do we have here?

Re: 66 Vair 8

That looks like Sche 40 food grade stainless..if you paid $850 for them - that is a smokin deal. I paid $200 for 5 2.5" 90's and 2 to 2.5" transitions.

Well done sir!

Re: What engine model is the best for ultimate street hop up

just my late to the party 2 cents. I have Antilag via Crome on my turbo civic. While it does work for off the line - it's hard as hell on the turbo as noted by many others. Another consideration is that it only works when launching. I also had a Crane SCI with a 2 step launch control - kind of usele...

Re: What engine model is the best for ultimate street hop up

ok, so does anyone have any real world ideas of what kind of power can be made. I have been looking @ 1960's/ 70's articles and have seen draw through 180 cars go deep into the 13's at over 113mph. The mph suggest some pretty beefy number with a lot of wheel spin off the line (bad 60 ft) I would be ...

Re: What engine model is the best for ultimate street hop up

anyone have actual dyno sheets showing anywhere near 300HP? I have a turbo setup on my car and I am just curious as it seems like you're asking a lot from a very old motor. (design) The Levair spyder with it's blower setup apparently makes 230 or so hp , I just don't see how it's "easy" wh...

cap and rotor is new , I hadn't checked the points, vac advance is visibly working , I would have assumed the float levels are right , but I will check those as well (after the points)

Help with a 62 / 102 4spd with a stumble

On weekends I have been trolling around in my brothers 62 / 102 4spd car (he is out of the province for a while) The car is all original with 32,000 miles on it. We put new carbs on it from wolfe, new plugs and wires. The car runs quite well , fires right up , idles smooth and quiet. The problem is ...
