I stumbled on this article and had never heard of this GM Corvair project before, and could not find any reference to it on the Corvair Forum. So...

Welcome to the Corvair Museum

The Corvair Museum was formed in 1994 to display Corvair historical and educational material. Property and income for the museum are solely from donations, primarily from CORSA members. Exhibits at the Corvair Museum include vehicles, mechanical displays, literature and artwork.

Until 1999, the Corvair Museum was located in Richmond, Virginia. From 1999 until 2002, the museum was closed. As of August 25, 2002, the Corvair Museum is now officially located in the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Collection (YAHC) of Ypsilanti, Michigan! The Corvair Museum is operated and maintained by the volunteers from the Corvair Preservation Foundation.

The Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Collection, as its name implies, features automobiles and related items with ties to Ypsilanti. It has many first-rate exhibits and the feel of the place is very authentic--not antiseptic or dark like so many museums. Instead, there is a genuine nostalgic feel and there is a lot of natural light, especially in the gallery containing Corvair materials.

The Corvair Museum, archives, and exhibits are maintained by the Corvair Preservation Foundation. The Corvair Preservation Foundation is a non-profit affiliate of the Corvair Society of America.

Is the Calvair still housed in the Corvair Museum? So far I have not been able to find out on the Internet. Since the museum relocated from Virginia to Michigan, the display of the Stirling engine-powered Calvair is uncertain.

If you wish to read more about the Stirling engine, here is a somewhat lengthy and detailed Wikipedia article...
