...Here's one of the next little projects, we're still working on the steering wheel. Smooth everything out. filler - sanding, filler, sanding, primer, sanding more layers to go before final paint! I can say this steering wheel got a lot of edges, weird shapes!
As long as you are working on and considering improvements for the car interior, I have a suggestion...

Love all the attention to detail, especially that manual choke. :)
ONE SMALL MODIFICATION...

Air Hug (3).jpg
With this modification, that bright yellow, smiling knob will always remind you to give your Lakewood a hug on those cold mornings — before you turn the key! :my02:

Don't forget the engine moves around some. The pipe can't be too close to the body cut out. It looks a little close at the top but it is hard to tell.

:goodpost: :clap: :tu: ::-):

It is really great to hear that your daughter's heart surgery went well. I know all too well the trauma of enduring the fears and anguish of a loved family member — especially a child — going through a serious medical condition like that. It must feel good to be able to return to something like a normal routine!

Yes bbodie totaly true. And how much I love my Lakewood, it is stil a car compare to family health. We are going forward with our energy and mental health.

Now I know that I rather have a "dull", nothing special normal routine life, compare to the last months.

:ty: and soon more updates :tu:

Step by step the dashboard is getting done. Installed the heating system, glovebox and all the little parts get cleaned and put back together.
Hopefully we can finish the glovebox and heating controls soon.

Last week we went to clubmember Jacko to check out the generator.
Jacko took it apart and cheked oen by one the components inside.
875.jpg
Working on Corvairs & Food! :tu: always a good combiantion!
876.jpg
Testing the generator in the Corvair95 of Jacko (is it the Generator or the Voltregulator or what is wrong with it?)
877.jpg
Well nothing is wrong with it, we made it work and now it is time to put it back on the Lakewood and see if it will work there to.
878.jpg
879.jpg
First step, back on the Lakewood. Next week connect all the wires.
880.jpg
Finishing all the little parts of the steering wheel.
891.jpg
Paint the Corvair logo on the steering wheel (yes need to clean and polish it a little bit again)

I had a great week working on the corvair. Next week we go try if the generator will work and produce some power (should be, it worked on the Corvair95 of Jacko) and from there we continue finishing the dashboard.
