Hi, only just found this forum and happy to be here! Been a Vair owner for a couple of years here in the UK. We have a 61 Lakewood 700. I've had a number of 'Yank Tanks' since 1976 and am enjoyng this one as much as any of them! I think this will be the lifetime one. My son has his eyes on it! We will be visiting the US next year starting in Nashville and then onto Georgia to see family (Lula area)....is there a Corvair meeting or club in those areas?
I've bought stuff from Clarks for mine but are there parts and spares places, parts yards near where we are going?
Hopefully get to meet some you sometime!
Cheers

Re: Hi from across the Pond!!
Welcome to the Corvair Forum!
I was stationed with the U.S. Air Force near Ramstein Air Base (Kaiserslautern, Germany) with my wife, two children, and two 1965 Corvair Corsas in 1980-1983. My wife and I spent a week in the London area in 1983 before we were transferred back to the USA in the summer months.
There is a CORSA (Corvair Society of America) club chapter in Music City (Nashville) and another in the Atlanta area...

If you will be here in the Spring of 2024, perhaps you will be able to join with the Corvair owners in Helen, Georgia in April. I live near Hiawassee, Georgia (about 21 miles north of Helen) and I hope to make it to Springfest 2024. Perhaps I will see you there!

That is a good looking wagon. Enjoy your visit.
It's been about 40 years since I visited the U.K. A wonderful trip, but I suspect a lot has changed, as in most places.
