Nash Fan is here!
Nash Fan is here!
Looking forward to getting this installed and ready for the hot, muggy Cincinnati summer. Should make the engine happier.

Yes, the fan is available although it is built to order. I got mine just before Christmas.

Re: Nash Fan is here!
Yes, the fans are "on the market", although the only way to get one is to participate in the next group purchase. I participated in the last one, so I could test the production version of the fan, which has an enormous increase in output over my well tested prototype. I cant wait to try it out! What I found most interesting when taking my top shroud off, was that the Harrison oil cooler appeared to be nearly as clean as it was 22000 miles ago, (when I first installed my prototype Nashfan), but the 4 or 5 other times the shroud had been off with the mag fan, the oil cooler was nearly plugged solid with dust. Supposedly, with that oil cooler, its supposed to be cleaned every oil change, and I never did that. The other thing that was really facinating was how many minor leaks I found and plugged. I measured and added up all these leaks, and they basically amounted to a hole in the shroud thats .8"-.9" in diameter!!! Since the biggest single leak spot in the shroud was at the oil cooler and since the 63 Turbo fan testing was supposedly done with the later "plate style" oil cooler, my pressure tests with the prototype fan would have been reading artificially low compared to the GM tests.

I was wondering how much noise the Nash Fan makes as compared to the stock fan on my 65.

Re: Nash Fan is here!
One of the customers that has installed it on a 110, said that he thought it was quieter. On my car, which does have a back seat but no sound deadening material behind it, it seemed to be no louder than stock, but did sound different. Others that have seen my fan and heard it run with the engine lid up have said it isnt noisy/louder than stock. One thing Im certain about... its WAY quieter than a Porsche fan! its easy to hear those things spinning!

Is American Pi doing these? I tried unsuccessfully to reach them about a billet shift coupler with no reply, so I assumed they were no longer in business. I have no beef with them, but I saw their logo on the pics of the fan.
I like the fan and have that on my list, as living in AZ I'm sure my car could use all the cooling it can get!

Yes American-Pi is doing these. Ray Sedman is pretty busy... I'm alot easier to get ahold of and can often respond to emails quite a bit quicker than he can.

Ray Sedman is sometimes hard to reach. The Corvair stuff is his hobby, so his real job takes priority. When you can reach Ray he is great to work with.
Re: Nash Fan is here!
Also it's not just a fan, but a pulley and air intake bellow. It's a complete system. I'll post more pictures soon as I'm finally getting mine installed.
