64 or earlier corvair race car.

Post by willdeane »

I'm looking for a very period looking corvair competition car, if anyone is selling anything or knows someone with a period correct competition car (basically one that hasn't been messed around with and looks like it could have been seen racing in the 60's)
thanks

it did sell for a lot, but for a good reason

its built to a high spec and because its unusual (over here) it will get, almost, automatic entry into some events that are invitation only (i.e like the goodwood revival)

so, for a owner who wants to be seen, and wants to mix in the top circle of historic racing in the uk it was a very good buy indeed

as a race car over here it will be gloriously rubbish, it will just be so outclassed by everything else in its 'group' i.e cortinas, mk2 jags etc
so it will never, ever be a front running car, but for someone who just wants to stand out, look good and enjoy all the glitter that comes with having an unusual car its absolutly perfect
