Can someone let me know the factory key configuration. How many keys came with the car and what did they open. My new car has 4 keys and only one works on the ignition so looking to refit all.

EM's use one key for all locks unless someone changed a lock at some time. Cannot remember what my 65 had, that was 51 years ago. :dontknow:

My experience has been that you should have two keys, one for ignition and doors and another for the trunk and glovebox. Typically the door and ignition key is octagon shaped and the trunk key is like a beehive or club shaped.

The late model cars came with two keys.

One key operated the doors and Ignition and the other operated the glove box and trunk.

If the car is a late model and has an original working trunk lock cylinder, it should have a key code on it.
My suggestion would be to have a key cut by code for that cylinder and use it to key the glove box lock at the minimum.
I would also encourage you to key the doors and ignition to match just to keep things simple, unless you prefer having two keys. JMO
