Bearing Turbo adjustable link

Post by rlp11 »

Hi All

I was looking at the Turbo Linkage and came up with some help for you guys and gals with Turbos. In the picture below the left one is a stock adjustable link. This one cost $20 on eBay. It has three places for slop. In the center is what I came up with. I was going to buy parts in qty and sell them for $10 each. But what the hey, you can get the parts and make it cheaper than that. Items in the right of picture shows what you need.

1. 1 Male and 1 female 1/4-28 Heim joint. Get these at the off road houses.
2. 1/4-28 Jam nut. To lock the Heim joints together.
3. Two 1/4-28 Bolts, two 1/4 split lock washers (use these as spacers between the Heim and the levers) and two 1/4-28 Nylock nuts. I used all Stainless Steel nuts and bolts and washers.

Assemble, adjust and mount and it is rock solid.

I rotated (for better fit) and embedded your picture for others to see, without having to go through email. Do you have any links for favorite sources for these components?

Thanks for putting in the picture.

Believe it or not I got everything on eBay. But I but in qty, 25 pieces and up. You can get all the hardware at a good hardware store. You don't need to use Stainless Steel. Get the Heim joints from any good off road house.
