Hi, new owner from Belgium need help

Post by Math1390 »

I guys, I'm a new owner of a 1963 Corvair 700 sedan 4 doors. I'm looking forward a manual in french (if possible) or in english who match my car. I'm also looking forward any kind of documentation relataed to this specific model (tech, specs, general info, mecanics, ...) The goal is to get everything in my hands to be able to understand my car better and be an expert.
Many thanks in advance and I wish everyone a good week :)

Welcome to our forum. While I don't know of any publications in French, the originals and reprints are readily available on ebay and from other sources. On early models (I have a '62) we use a 1961 shop manual and a 1962 supplement.https://www.ebay.com/itm/141043536383?f ... BM8Kur2ddj

Also very handy is the "Assembly Manual" a reprint available from Clark's Corvair, one of our parts suppliers.https://www.google.com/search?gs_ssp=eJ ... e&ie=UTF-8
As Brad, one of our very experienced members says "tell us a little more about yourself, your skills and experience, and your car". We're here to help and encourage. Dennis

:welcome:

Although not obvious by name, the Corvanatics website offers .pdfs of manuals that are appropriate for a 63 Corvair car. :chevy: All English, of course....

Buying the shop manuals (1961 and 1962/3 supplement) is recommended, as the pictures in the .pdfs are poor. But they can get you by for now. :tu:

Hi Denis, thanks for your very complete answer. Actualy I had already found this documentation during my research. I'll try to dig in further more to find this FR version. I'll let you know.

To go into details, I'm 29 Belgian guy in love with old American cars. I've no mechanical experience but eager to learn and have some relation to help me. The car is a 1963 sedan 700 4 doors in white. I'll create a dedicated post to talk about the car, show pictures, update on what I'm planning to do, ...

It's very exciting to be able to talk to you aswell, feel like having a foot in America !

Have a gret end of week !
