Is Miniman82 still active here?

Post by safety_ron »

I have been searching for information to rebuild the turbo on my newly acquired 63 Monza Spyder and much of the entries point me in his direction. If you are still active here, Miniman82, are you still rebuilding turbos? Can you contact me?

Thank you,
Ron

:dontknow: He seems to have dropped out of this forum. His last post was back in May, 2021, and the website listed at the bottom is no longer accessible.

I hope this comes to good use for everyone who picks it up. It’s taken me quite a bit of time to get this all together, and I know I’ll use this as a reference all the time. Since I have CRS real bad, it’s important to me to write things like this down. That means if you’re anything like me, you have CRS, and also like Rajay turbos, this will be just about indispensable!
Have fun, and be safe!

I did a searc for "CRS". This is what I found...

Cytokine Release Syndrome (CRS) Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) happens when your immune system responds to infection or immunotherapy drugs more aggressively than it should. CRS symptoms include fever, nausea, fatigue and body aches. Prompt treatment is essential, as symptoms can worsen quickly.

I don't know if this is what he referred to in his first turbo publication.

This is all I have been able to discover, but for whatever reason, Nick Williams is no longer active on the Corvair Forum.

Thank you all for your research. I think I have a touch of CRS as well. LOL. Has anyone rebuilt a Rayjay Turbo before? Is it something that a person with an average or slightly above average mechanical skills could do or should I spend the $400 to get it rebuilt?

Nick sold everything and got out of the turbo business.

I know this because I bought all the last of his turbos.

Also I bought all of Mark Peitz's turbocharger stock.

The modern TO4B could be for sale...$400+shpng.
