NECC's Autobahn Country Club Track Event

NECC’s Autobahn Track Event

The Northeast Corvair Council (aka NECC Motorsports) has been planning a track event for Tuesday, July 23, the first day of the Corvair Society of America’s annual convention. The location is the Autobahn Country Club track which is located relatively close to the convention site. Our track event is open to any year, make and model, but this should be a special treat for Corvair enthusiasts.

With weeks to go until the event, registrations can be counted on one hand. Unless there is a dramatic increase in the number of registrations NECC will be forced to cancel this event. The financial penalty for canceling will cause serious harm to our organization and may well spell it's end.

If you are considering registering for this event, please do so as soon as possible. The only solution to this problem is more registrations.
Use this link to download our Event Guide for this great event. It has complete information about the schedule for the day, lodging and plenty of other information.

And please visit our website where you will find our and online registration form. www.neccmotorsports.com

President, NECC

Here is a video of Ken Hand ripping up the track in his race-prepared Corvair at Autobahn Country Club

The sound is rough but you’ll get a front-seat view of the course.

ANNOUNCEMENT: NECC Cancellation of Autobahn Track Day

The Northeast Corvair Council (NECC Motorsports) regrets to announce the cancellation of our all-day driving event scheduled for Tuesday July 23rd at Autobahn Country Club.

This is the first time in our rich history of staging events since 1973 (that's 46 years) that we've had to cancel a track day.

Autobahn was a new venue for us, and things aligned in just the wrong way. It was the perfect storm of circumstances. That is what led to this difficult and first ever decision for our board.

However NECC is still scheduled to, and will run, at Pocono Raceway on Saturday, September 14th...a track where we've had solid attendance and positive feedback on our past events there.
