Failing fuel pump from Clark's.
Hi all. I bought an electronic fuel pump from Clark's in may. It's already dying. Only getting a little over 3 psi. Has anyone else had a problem with these? I'm looking into getting a name brand pump this time. Any suggestions?

Re: Failing fuel pump from Clark's.
The book I have says the fuel pressure should be 4-5 lbs at idle to 1000 rpm. (mechanical pump)
Volume should be one pint in 30-45 seconds.
If there is a restriction, crimped hose, clogged filter, this could cause low pressure.
Have you done a volume test? What is your result?

You'll probably get as many suggestions as there are pumps but the Made in USA Facet pumps are often suggested by Corvair owners and I've had one for many years. Be sure you don't get an imposter. There are some out there that are not genuine Facet.

They usually come with fittings and an inline filter.
