saginaw 4 speed transmission

Post by Edz »

Just curious since I have access to a spare Saginaw 4 speed transmission box... Was the same Saginaw 4 speed used in other GMs or was the 4spd Saginaw used in the Corvair unique to the Corvair?

Topic 1K!
No stock parts were harmed during the on going restoration of this Corvair....ok, maybe a little bit.

As far as I know, some internals were shared with other GM cars of the era but the whole tranny itself was Corvair specific.
