Back in the day "early 60's" lots of guys had a name lettered on the rear fender. I didn't letter my new 62 Monza but in 63 I lettered the hood of my 40 Ford 2dr. sedan "Ramcharged", had a 315 cu. in. D-500 Dodge Hemi under the hood.

I have name only one vehicle in my life and that is my motorcycle. It's a 95 virago 1100 that had this gawd awful factory 70's looking paint job. It got dubbed 'the porn bike'. Other than that, my corvair is corvair, truck is truck, jeep is jeep. Wifeys cars are fiat, Pontiac and 50 Chevy.

Anyone who says it's girly to name his corvair needs to learn how to get his woman involved in his corvair life. My lady named all three of my corvairs, and it helped nurture her love for my kids!

My 64 Spyder convertible is named Brooklyn.
My 65 Corsa is named Willow.

They are both girls.

and my 65 Greenbrier... his name is Levi. He is her favorite.

I don't usually name my Corvairs but my kids named a few of our other vehicles.

My 91 Aerostar became the "Rally Master 9000" when it was used as a support vehicle for a low budget road rally team up in Prescott many years ago.

Our 90 Volvo 740 wagon was given an Indian name that when translated meant "Dark Cloud Follows".

Well- way back when I first saw mine, I asked the owner about it - he said "Oh, it's just a toy".
Some years later, when I looked him up again, he asked me if I want to buy his toy.
I did.
It was Len's toy.

Now, it is Jay's Toy.
Or just "The Toy".

cheers

I call mine either "The Corvair," "The convertible", or "The little red elephant." (Because the trunk is in front)

My adult kids came up with the name for the 62 Coupe. They call her "Miley" said she looked like white trash. They did this in a jovial manner but the name has stuck.

I've had a long tradition of naming my cars, going all the way back to my first one, a 70 V.W. beetle named Ima, as in "Ima Volkswagen". ::-):
There was "Clyde" a 62 Ford Galaxy Wagon, "Omar the Wonder Beetle", my 60 Bug, "Joe" my 66 M.G.B., named for Joe Lucas, "The Prince of Darkness", my 61 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Hearse, "The Last-trip Sedan"," Bender", my 2009 RAV4, "Moby Dick", my 1963 (white) Buick Invicta Wagon, and others.

I'm thinking that the 64 Spyder IS Scooty Puff Jr. It's the right color... :rolling:

First car was named the "Harry Car" or it's alter-ego "Franken-Vair" This in "honor" of the previous owner Harry and the franken-job that had been done to it (1968 - 500) RIP.

Second car I simply called the "Silver Car" or "The Michael Barney Car" Simple enough - Car is Silver and PO was Michael Barney :)
