Odd noise from heater fan.....

Post by Storm »

So when I left to go to work last night my heater blower was making some weird noises, about after 10 minutes the noise is went away. So my first thought was the bearing went bad and just happened to quiet down. So once I arrived home in the morning I noticed some black chunks on my rear floor right outside the heater vent underneath the passenger seat. Upon further inspection they happen to be mouse parts. Legs, feet, tail.....

I would say that mouse happened to choose a bad place to sleep overnight......

The fun times of a Corvair!

Well it was quite small & I didn't think to take a picture. A missed opportunity.

Good news for today is after going through a few headlight adjusters. I did finally get them where I like them. Who would have thought WD-40 make such a difference.

I noticed my gas tank had a small leak from around the gasket, so I figured I try to tighten up the metal piece. Well after 14 gals of non ethanol free gas had leaked out.... Found out the metal piece was quite loose.

Luckily I have a spare unit, rubber & whatnot set aside for my 61. Guess I'll have to order another for my 61 again......

Hahahah fun day!

Oh - you may want to see if the mouse tried to build a nest in the engine. Usually on top of the cylinders is were they pile up debris.
