My 63 Corvair 2 door heat control lever it stuck. I traced it back to heater box and it is really tucked up in there. I removed the cardboard behind back seat hoping to find a access panel but one isn't there. How is best way to get up in there and get the cable off so I can tell if the cable is frozen or the heater box door is stuck.

I have attached the section of the Corvair Shop Manual that applies to the heater systems. The last part of the section is applicable to the forced air heating system.

The Clark's Corvair Parts online catalog that pertains to heater parts begins on page 101.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any specific questions that are not covered in these references.

Brad,
These diagrams are good but I need tips on how to get to where the cable connects to the heater box.
Thanks
