Fuel Sender

Post by Greybeard »

My car had sat for about 25 years. When I put fuel in it, the gauge didn't respond, read empty. So I cleaned up everything leading into the sender, including ground, and it worked for about 2 years and then went full onreading beyound full.
So my question is: Ground, power, or sender?

I would check the ground screw at the sending unit first. It is exposed and always getting corroded to the point of no contact.
