There should be no air leakage through intake valve or exhaust valves. There will be some leakage by the rings, usually less than 20 percent.

Another issue not mentioned yet, have you done a compression test? What are the results? If you have not done this test yet, do it now.

Heads went back to the shop. I'll let y'all know what the problem was.

Heads came back, mineral spirits leak down revealed a few leaks, not sure what went wrong. Found a leak down gauge. #1 @ 20% others around 13% I'm going to go ahead and run them.

Did the machine shop correct the mineral spirits leaks? Did they offer an explanation? No matter what the explanation, the Immediate thought is a different machine shop should be considered for any future work.

I see you state that you have installed thicker head gaskets and a thicker cylinder jug base gasket. Be sure your quench area gap from piston to head is not to much as this will lead to detonation. Hope fully gaskets are for compensation due to machining gasket surface for head gasket.
