Torsion bars for trunk 64
Torsion bars for trunk 64
I have the torsion bars for my 64 Convertible. Is there a guide somewhere in how to install them?

Re: Torsion bars for trunk 64
Welcome to the Corvair Forum!
The attached section from the 1966 Fisher Body Service Manual describes the front compartment lid torque rods, and their removal and installation. Although this manual was published in 1966, it is somewhat generic in nature, as the assembly and design of Fisher Body products did not change a great deal from one model year to the next, or from one GM product to another. The similarities overlap in the manual, and specific differences for the Corvair, where they exist, are addressed in the manual.
The complete manual, and many other useful Corvair technical references can be downloaded at no cost using the following link...
