Plug behind dash?
Plug behind dash?
What's this plug? About to put gauges back in, but just noticed the plug. Looks to be wrapped around another harness?

Re: Plug behind dash?
Assuming this photo is looking new the far left of the dash...this is likely the feed to the dome lighting system. pretty hard to guess without knowing what car you have but in late models the dome lamp wiring (orange and some white wires) connects to the harness in the left corner of the dash.

Re: Plug behind dash?
Ahh, sorry. My car is in my signature line. LM coupe. Yes, far left of the dash. Not looking at the orange connector in the foreground though, I'm trying to find out the unplugged plug right below the speedo cable in the pic.
It looks like it's been unplugged forever, and I don't remember doing it and can't find where it would go.
Any ideas? Also, is there supposed to be an ashtray light? I have an extra bulb hanging down by the ashtray, but doesn't seem to go anywhere?

OH the triple plug back in the upper corner that is unplugged. That one is likely the high temp warning buzzer.

Bulb hanging by ashtray...hmmm...is there a bulb plugged into the side of the heater control switch assembly...there is supposed to be an instrument lamp there.

Re: Plug behind dash?
Ahhh, heater control sounds right. I've got mine pulled apart right now, so didn't think to check that.
Thanks for heads up on the triple plug. Is that supposed to be plugged into a buzzer? Or was the buzzer optional or something?

To the best of my knowledge, only the 65 cars got the buzzer, possibly only the turbo cars - not sure. Yes the plug was there in 66, but no buzzer was installed. If I'm incorrect, others can comment. Is that supposed to be plugged into a buzzer? Or was the buzzer optional or something?
Buzzer wiring was one pink wire, one green/white wire.

Only turbo's got the buzzer. I have many 65 and 66 Corsa 140's and have never found a high-temp warning buzzer in any of them.
That does look like the buzzer plug comparing a photo I found. A 3-position plug is used but only two wires were installed and the colors look the same and the terminals are in the same orientation.
