1964 Monza ID Tag

Post by NMVair »

Ok so i uploaded an image of my body tag. Though I have a different engine, I think a 68 but we'll get to that later)

Herd is what I gather.
WR
It was assembled at the Willow Run Plant in Michigan.
But that in its self poses a question. While researching it should just be a W but mine has a WR and I have seen a WRN on a convertable. What is up with this? It seems like the plant would want to remain consistent. Why would they be confusing us?

05C STYLE 64

This seems to indicate it was made in the third week of May in 1964. Would that be correct?
TRIM 758 920 PAINT
Seems to indicate it was originally painted MED FAWN or sales name Almond Fawn
Is there anyway to get what the interior was painted so i know what was painted?

Then i don't know what E2EM50 means anyone have an idea what this number means?

W, WR, or WRN doesn't matter. The body tags were mostly for Fisher Body employees to properly build the chassis before it was shipped to Chevrolet for final assembly. You'll find all kinds of errors if you study lots of the tags. The tags were made by humans on various shifts, not machines.
