Here is a Corvair-based GM prototype called the AGL-4, it was designed for military and commercial use. It looks like a jacked-up Loadside pickup, but the cab and bed are separate pieces, connected by an articulating joint. The Corvair engine is mounted in the front, under the cab, and it is 4-wheel drive. Below is the link to the AGL-4 Rampside video --
Phil , I can't say for sure about reverse rotation but when I reviewed the video I noted that the engine is still flywheel forward just like a stock Vair . It would be cool. I'll bet those guys in the back were hanging on !
