You probably have HD springs correct?
Hi Allen - I really don't know what springs I have or how much they have been cut down.

They were on the car when I bought it and are one of the few things that I haven't changed since 2000 ,

This thread is relevant to my interests. I hope to see some updates.

My dad cut the front and rear springs in my car, but when the headers bottomed out, he put HD springs back in the rear. I'm not sure how many coils are cut, but I can't get a floor jack underneath without a little help. ::-):

This is the best picture I have right now of how low the front is.

Clark's says that just by installing their HD springs it will lower the car automatically . Has anyone installed the Clarks HD springs , and if so did it lower the car evenly all round without having to do any cutting.

Well, mine has springs of unknown heritage.
The wire diameter is about .49, a free length of 10", and about 6 active coils.

Running 205-50 x 15 all around.

It drags pretty easily going into parking lots if there's much of a dip leading in.
It clears most of the slowdown bumps on the street and in parking lots, though.

I figure the springs, aside from losing strength due to serious surface rust, probably sagged a bit when it had its 327.
I have the battery in the nose and a heavy brass radiator, with an unladen weight on the front of about 1000 lbs.

I intend to secure some plastic rub bars to the underside, so it will slide over obstructions instead of grinding.
