hood scoops
Re: hood scoops
These are being custom fitted as we speak. The idea came
from a Lamborghini and these louvers will open and close on
compartment temperature or bypass switch when raining.

Re: hood scoops
Mine already has side scoops. My dad had them installed when he found out that the Fitch style roof actually deflected the air from vents for the engine compartment. He wanted them to look like NACA ducts like yours, but the guy who did them didn't understand. I'm going to reshape them to look like NACA ducts.mart wrote:Due to the huge amount of rain we get in N/E England, I decided side scoops would be best for me

Re: hood scoops
Was thinking about a scoop on the hood & ran across this thread! Has anybody tried the scoop/radiator combination mounted to the hood (as mentioned by Crazy George)? I am contemplating a rear mounted V6 swap and I am exploring ways to make it as "bolt-on" as possible. Wouldn't mind altering a spare hood with such a setup. Other ideas on rear mounted radiators? Possible with rear mounted V6? I think Damian that posts on here had an EM with a V6 and rear radiator, but don't know if he kept it there.
Thanks!
Thanks!

How did the side scoops work for you? Where can I get a pair?

Re: hood scoops
I used 8" x 4" . Car is not ready to drive yet, but I expect no improvement in performance,I just used them for looks, although they will be functional, they offer an efficient method of ducting air without effecting aerodynamics, which is what they were designed to do , but do not give a ram - air effect
