HMMM? good question. Hopefully someone with a definite answer will chime in. I think if you are doing a clone you can have some flexibility and do what you want.
The one in this pic looks like around 4" wide?

thats what i was thinkin...like 2" each side of the trunk lid. i was lookin at some of unsafe's arcticles over in the fitch sprint section (thanks kevin, awesome articles!) and got some ideas. i was also considering seeing if a somone could actually make some sort of a decal of the sprint emblem on the front fender by the headlights.

yep looks like 2" each side to me too. That is a good idea on the sticker/decal. You could also have the stripes done in vinyl pretty inexpensively too. The you can see if you like it and it's not permanent. You could even change the colors if you got bored with the look. :tu:

yeah...thats what im planning. deciding on red stripe (if i can match the red in my interior) or black. kinda leaning toward black right now. i think it will look good since i left the spoiler black.

I'm not sure but I think tape would be hard to roll over the seam edges and hide the base color in the groove?

good point...once i find a place that can/will put them on ill have to talk to them about it. i could do two 2" stripes with a 1/2" gap between them too. (if 1 solid stripe would work with the vinyl tape)
anyone know the size (length and width) of the sprint emblem on the front fender?

This image might help with size. You can compare it to the '64 Monza emblem above.

I'd match the stripe to the interior color.
