Corvair Engine Drawing

Post by Steve62 »

I've been working on this for a couple of weeks...all done in Photoshop. It's far from perfect, not to scale, and missing plenty of details, but it's been fun, and I still have a ways to go.

That looks really great! Exercises like this one are a great way to learn and fun at the same time. I have a copy of Adobe Photoshop and I didn't even know it could do something like this. It looks like I have much to learn!

Thanks for sharing… Your drawing looks really great!

Nice! The machined aluminum is a great color choice - looks like the real deal. :tu:

A little deeper inside. Each part is in a different layer, so they can be moved, scaled, modified...whatever is needed. I'm still working on the left exhaust port...because it's offset from the valve, it's making it a challenge to look like it should.

Thanks for all the kind words! Here's the latest version. I haven't started on the rear cover or alternator/oil filter/fuel pump/idler pulley adapter...they're gonna be a challenge!

I reworked the heads a bit, now they're much closer to the real deal. Not perfect, but closer. It's getting there...

It's been animated! A bit crude, but it was just an experiment.
