Enable Private Messages

What needs to be done to enable private messaging here? In my user control panel, I have this message

and when I try to PM or email a user, I have no contact info

I think there is a minimum of three or maybe four posts that a new member needs to make BEFORE the Private Message privilege is activated on a profile.

Yeah, I think you have to have a few posts under your belt, it's a means to prevent bots from spamming other users with Private Messages. Normally doing the initial introduction post gets people over the limit. Been a while since I ran my own PHPBB3 Forum though I could be mistaken, or "misremembering" but I think it was introduced in PHPBB version 3.0.6.

Stan, WELCOME to the Corvair Forum!
Post a few more times and all should be able to send and receive Private Messages.
As I understand it, you happen to be a well respected Corvair enthusiast.
Maybe start a new topic to introduce yourself for those of us that may not be familiar with you.
If you used a different user name on other platforms you might consider sharing that with the community IF you are comfortable doing so.

I noticed that you have already added a signature line with your general location which is not only helpful but beneficial.
It wouldn't hurt to start a thread to introduce yourself and let us know a bit about yourself and your Corvair experience.
IF you happened to have participated on other platforms using a different user name and are comfortable sharing that with the community, it might be worth considering.
