Now scroll down and under the box where you type there are a few tabs on top of the blueish colored box.
Click on the tab that says UPLOAD ATTACHMENT.

Now click on the button that says BROWSE. From there it will bring up a POP-UP box on your computer screen. Use that to locate the file on your computer that you wish to upload. Click once to highlight the file or image you wish to upload. Then click OPEN.

(Now you will see a partial text of the location for your file in the file name box to the left of the Browse button).

Now click the ADD THE FILE button. This will now upload the file from your computer onto the forum.

You now will see a box where you can give your attached file a name or comment.
Now that your file is attached, you can complete your text for your post (if you haven't already done so).
(You can also click Preview if you wish to see what the whole thing will look like before you submit it).

There is a button called "Place inline" if you click on this it will give you an "attachment" code with which you can post the picture inside the text box of your thread. You can move this code around to place the image where you want in your text.

Like this.
file attached
file attached

Note: to ad multiple images/files you just keep using the Upload Attachment tab after each file is attached until you are done then Submit.

Click Submit and you're done.

If you happen to get an error that says something like Invalid File type. Try opening the picture in question in an editing program like PAINT and just re-save the image (you don't have to rename it or change the file type).
Supported image extensions are:
gif
jpeg
jpg
png
tga
tif
tiff

Posting images utilizing a photo hosting site
Another option to post pictures is you can use a photo hosting site like Photobucket.com. They work very well. You simply copy and paste the IMG link from Photbucket (or whichever site you are using) directly into the body of your text anywhere you want the picture to be.

If you have your pictures hosted on another website you can still post them here by using the [img] button at the top of your text box here and then copy and paste the image. The button is only available if you use the Post reply chevy bowtie button or in the "full Editor".

Go to your image, right click on it and select "copy image location" then come over to your text box here and click the [img] button then paste your image location by pressing Ctrl and V on your keyboard.

Coolerator that is an awesome Corvair! I've got a California built 65 Corsa 180, but haven't started the restoration on it yet.

You forgot to mention a VERY valuable option, you have the telescopic column which by itself sells for $400-$900!!

Scott thanks for posting this, it'll be nice to just link to this thread when new folks need an explanation... it'll save a lot of typing!

You might have something disabled on your computer - pop-ups perhaps or cookies. If you have a windows based machine you could add www.corvairforum.com to your trusted sites.
