Original paint & straight LM for $1200!

1967 corvair 2dr - $1200 (reseda)

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/ct ... 79719.html
Selling my corvair . 67 500 with a 110 hp engine . This car is in great shape for its age .
It has not a single dent anywhere in the whole car. No bondo work and all original paint. Original interior and everything, needs work. Runs but for some reason it doesn't want to stay running. If you know more about these cars then maybe you can troubleshoot. But I have no idea. Bought it to restore and have no time or money. It has new cap and rotor. Spark plugs. Gas filters oil and filter with zinc additive. Beautiful car ready for new owner. This is a true survivor car.
Call or text for more info and pics. $1200 obo . Seriously need gone.

Left 1/4 panel is damaged from by the rear tail lamp to above he center of the wheel opening as evidenced by the bodyline looking rust line above the awful side moulding stuff. Still looks like a good restoration candidate with little or no likely rust through at a good price.
Corvair guy since 1982. I have personally restored at least 20 Vairs, many of them restored ground up.
Currently working full time repairing Corvairs and restoring old cars.

Re: Smokin' Deals! Corvair Wagon on Craigslist $400.

Post by pneathery »

Hey y'all, I don't own a Corvair....havent ever owned one, don't think I ever will...however I have owned a few VW Campers over the years all air cooled, and had a 6 year relationship with a 76 BMW 2002, so I know the love of cars, and I know some are rarer then others, I was also brought up in a Corvette family, owning, restoring, showing, racing, and all the clubbing stuff too....so I figured somebody on here would want, or know somebody who would want what I found on my local Craigslist. It's headline is "Corvair wagon parts car" I had never seen a wagon before, seen the vans, convertibles, and normal ones, but never a wagon.....so the asking price they have is $400, worth a look. I'm on my iPad, so am not going to save their pics, and then post them, y'all need to look. https://myrtlebeach.craigslist.org/cto/4633264733.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
As I said. I DON'T KNOW the person selling, but I do love cars, and think the right folks need to end up with the right cars. Hope this helps somebody out.
Preston.

Not sure if this qualifies as a smokin deal, but these cars are headed for the scrap yard if some Corvair lover in the area doesn't rescue them...

Dang, beat THIS! It's too far for me, but I'd buy it at least to do a "recreation" on a regular monza or 500.

:whoa: :guitar: Here is something I stumbled on that might be "the ticket" for a LM convertible (or even coupe) owner with a car that is suffering from severe rust and body rot problems. Of course, transport of the body and components and the rotisserie would be an interesting challenge. I figured that being buried on the CORSA website under the category "Miscellaneous" might mean that few have seen this listing, so I thought I would post it here to place it in a spotlight where the "right person" might find it useful. SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.

From the exhaust tailpipe cutout I would say this car body was originally a 1965-1966 Corsa convertible.

Description

This is a very solid body on an almost new rotisserie set up for Corvairs. This would be great for someone who has a late Corvair with a rusty body. Also have available a top frame and other parts necessary to switch a coupe to a convertible. Will separate. Located in Central Florida.

That looks like a good deal. Somebody should get that one. Indiana to Washington state... too far away for me to make happen.
