Rampside Color Schemes - suggestions

Post by OttawaCorvairGal »

Hi there,

We have a rampside that needs to have a restoration on the interior and exterior paint. Just wondering if other Rampside owners could share their pics of completed restorations? I'm interested in both traditional and non-traditional schemes. (Scandalous!)

Cheers,
OCGal

I was just thumbing through the current issue of Super Chevy magazine, and there's a picture of a red rampy with white coves at a show in Arizona. I have to say it's a pretty fetching color on a rampside.

Around these parts red with a white cove tho fetching is way too common. I had a 62 Loadside in the late 80's. I painted it midnight blue metallic with a lightish blue metallic in the insets , outlined with a grey metallic pinstripe. Very nice uncommon, and eye catching. I carried the 2-tone paint thru the interior as well, and used a simple piped dark and light uphosltery (Dark vinyl lower and Powderblue insert) on the stock bench

i always thought black with silver coves would look nice on the exterior. then black seats, door panels, and carpet with silver dash and doors inside.

Black and silver rocks as well, painted one like that for a bud in the 80's.

Go checkout your local Harley dealership, about the only place left doing 2 tones, and lots of nice modern combos.

My RS is going to be Harley '04 Luxury Teal w/ antique white stripe and red accents.
