New from Tejas

Post by Donuteater »

I recently picked up a 1966 Monza PG with factory AC. It is missing the compressor and condenser but the 110 runs pretty good. I used to own a 1964 Malibu Coupe about 10 years ago and I ended up wrapping the rear quarter around a pole (shouldn't have gone for a joy ride that day). Image
I really missed having a car from that era. After driving carb'd Subarus for a couple of years I found the opportunity to own a Corvair and get back into a Chevrolet. I live about an hour North of Austin and I plan on making the next November meeting at BurgerTex in Austin. See yall around.

Nice car! I'm also a little curious about the carbed Subarus. Do you mean you converted a F.I. Subaru over to a carb setup? I owned a Legacy a while back and converting to something like motorcycle carbs on each cylinder was a mod I was always curious about. I have seen conversions using 4 motorcycle carbs on front wheel drive VW's and Honda's etc, but I always thought a Subaru carb conversion would be cool.
It keeps me humble:
